Wrango Hackamore featured in the December 2007 issue of Western Horseman, page 137, BACK in STOCK!!!

Our design is made with a latigo leather headstall, ultra blu poly wrapped noseband, poly fiadore and spun poly double braid rein.
For training a colt who has been started in a halter, to have a sturdy hackamore to use in between snaffle bit sessions, as a loping hackamore or riding hackamore and can still be used as a halter.
The noseband is not as heavy or stiff as a rawhide bosal. The headstall is adjustable; another wrap can be taken with the rein to make the noseband smaller. The rein pictured in Western Horseman is 17' solid braid, tied on the noseband to make an 8' split rein. Currently we are using a 1/2inch 22 foot mecate double braid poly with a spun casing. It is has a softer easy grip. It has a lot of life and perfect weight for this noseband.
Hackamore with rein$125.00, hackamore only $85.00. NOTE: If you need a training hackamore that is traditional in the progression from a heavy three quarter size down to smaller size and weight, you may want to invest in a rawhide bosal and horsehair rein.

OUR FAMILY

All strays including Drifter, my 16.3 1350 lb tri-color paint caballo. Not to sure about his breeding, found him in a pasture, he's 16 now and probably the best horse I'll ever own!!

Crickett is our grand old dame, a grouchy Siamese. She has about 50,000 trade show miles on her...the grey baby is Batman, grown and as we found him, guess why we named him Batman!

Chappo was our shop cat, now he's the barn cat, and yes another stray!

Below is the crew that came with the Leon, Kansas house, tried to make 'em barn cats, but noooo, they decided they wanted to be porch cats! All of our critters are strays or rescues, gelded, spayed or neutered, too fat and loved on a lot!!!

Smudge Mom a tortoise shell calico, but better resembles a black cat who got tangled up in a can of paint. Her babies are all very different except Smudge Too, an exact replica of her mom in every way! Shy is the lone boy, he's been cursed with too much hair!

Stray Japanese Bobtail kitty from Utah, Miss Utah Carrol! She's spunky, has learned to fetch and rides on my shoulder!

Below are strays that continue to drift in and stay. LG has a ridge of hair down his back and tufts on his ears. Louie was very mistreated, missing half a front paw and his tail, very old and very tough. If Slim was a human he'd have a beer belly and crewcut and then there is Edgar, he weighs 19 pounds. He is the most layed back critter we've ever known. He would have a beer and smoke a cigar with slim!

SOME OF OUR FRIENDS...

Shannon, Juanita Balding (Balding Bits and Spurs) son Chester, Lisa, RW and Danner Hampton at the AWA awards show in Ft. Worth.

Brenn Hill and Shannon at Ft Worth with his Will Rogers award!

Shannon, the McKinney and Howes girls and Robin from Australia, at the WRCA WCRR.

Great cowboy singer and songwriter Luke Reed and Shannon.....

Twin Towers 1

A salute to all of our fallen comrades, September 11th, 2001 and February 1st, 2003 will forever be turning points for all of us...hold your friends and family close, be vigilant, get to know your neighbor, shop locally, take good care of your pets and never forget we are a compassionate nation.

WE SUPPORT OUR TROOPS-"we keep all of you in the military and our veterans, in our daily thoughts and prayers...we are very proud of you", Shannon L Wrango, SMSgt (Ret) USAF.
